Studio Strong is a website and communication business founded by Laura Strong in 1994, which produces works of intelligence and beauty for a wide range of expressive media including: small to large scale websites, interactive products, promotional materials, and other print and interactive media.
At Studio Strong, we understand that the foundation of great design is to first understand the unique needs of each client. Once these thoughts are captured, a solid strategy can then be developed to transform these desires into a custom-designed solution that is created specifically for the target audience. Extensive expertise in content development and user experience design also help ensure that all of our websites and interactive products are not only a pleasure to look at, but are informative and easy to use.
A variety of design and production services are available through Studio Strong. We work with local businesses and organizations in the Whidbey Island and Seattle areas, as well as clients that are located throughout North America and abroad, so distance is never an obstacle to quality design and a good working relationship.
Laura Strong, PhD
As the owner and creative director at Studio Strong, Laura brings together a dynamic mix of advertising and design experience, with her expertise in art and mythology, to create websites and interactive products that stand out from the crowd and captivate the hearts and minds of their audience.
Laura is an alumni of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where she studied advertising, graphic design, and illustration, and she received extensive training in the interactive design field through San Francisco State University's Multimedia Studies Program. Laura also holds an MA & PhD in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA, which gives her a unique archetypal insight into the images and the stories we create as individuals, groups, and a society.
Laura has worked as an art director in New York City, as a graphic designer and creative director in the San Francisco and Seattle regions, and has more than fifteen years of experience as website designer, interface designer, information architect, and business owner. Throughout her career, she has conceived, designed and produced a wide variety of advertising campaigns and marketing materials for upscale products and services, has developed numerous websites and promotional materials for businesses and nonprofit organizations, and has worked with a variety of teams to develop interactive products, games, software applications, and educational media. She is also well-known for her ability to organize mountains of information into coherent and interesting websites, and her talents as an artist and mythologist can be seen in many of her projects.
